Herb Descriptions:

Coriander

Nearly every part of this herb has a culinary use. Native to the Mediterranean and Middle Eastern countries, coriander (the dried seeds) is a key ingredient in curry powder, while cilantro (the leaves and stems) is widely used in Thai, Chinese, and Mexican cuisines. Interestingly, cilantro and coriander have different tastes and aromas.

Chili

Red chili peppers have been cultivated since 500 BC, originating from Central America. Though commonly referred to as peppers, they are actually hot fruits. Consuming a small amount of chili pepper each day may help improve sleep quality, and adding fresh chili to your evening meal can invigorate you the next day. The beautiful harvest is worth the wait as peppers take time to ripen fully.

Thai Basil

Thai or Lemon Basil is believed to be native to India and has been growing wild since ancient times. This vigorous, easy-to-grow variety is a hybrid of African and traditional basil. With potent citrus notes, lemon basil adds a zesty zing to fish and salads while attracting bees and butterflies to your garden. It thrives in hanging containers and garden beds.

Chives

Chives are an everlasting member of the onion family, grown in China since about 3000 BC. This versatile herb adds flavor and beauty to any herb, vegetable, or flower garden, producing lovely edible flowers that make a colorful garnish for salads. Its vivid green hue and mild onion flavor can enhance the taste of various dishes.

Mint
