Chamomile Overview
Mayweed, or German chamomile, the variety preferred for making tea, originates from southern and eastern Europe. It has a distinctive apple/pineapple-like scent.
Historical Significance
Ancient authorities such as Hippocrates and Galen wrote of the medicinal benefits of chamomile. Today, it remains a popular and effective herbal remedy.
